Margie Maes to Retire

After 10 years, Margie Maes will be stepping down as the Executive Director of LIPA at the end of July, 2018.  The LIPA Board is extremely grateful to Margie for her guidance, leadership, and devotion to LIPA through the years.

LIPA membership has doubled during Margie’s tenure, enabling us to fund or subsidize preservation programs such as PALMPrint, Archive-It, the Law Review Preservation Program, and the Legal Information Archive. We participate in collaborative programs with other consortia and academic institutions, notably the new LawArXiv open access repository for legal scholarship, and we have increased our activity at conferences through sponsorships, exhibits, and programs. LIPA is now recognized nationally as a leader in the preservation and archiving community.

We wish Margie the very best in her retirement. The search for a new Executive Director will commence shortly.
