Day Five: Every Week is Preservation Week

As this year’s Preservation Week comes to a close, here are a few resources to keep your library’s preservation projects moving forward.

AskLIPA. Have a preservation question? Looking for help creating an archival collection? Want more information about a particular LIPA program? Drop us a note using AskLIPA!

Check out our resources. LIPA maintains a list of preservation materials and documents, including webinars (there’s even a series on funding sources and grant-writing).

Digital Projects Registry. Let us know what online projects you are working on! We can highlight your digital collection and the information you provide will assist other LIPA members undertaking similar work.

Stay informed. Follow the LIPA blog and Twitter account, and join the listserv for preservation tips, news, and program updates.

Day Four: Legal Information Archive

The Legal Information Archive (LIA) is a digital archive established to preserve and ensure permanent access to vital legal information published online. The collection consists of content gathered by the Chesapeake Digital Preservation Project, a collaboration between Georgetown University Law Library, the Maryland State Law Library, the Virginia State Law Library, and Harvard University Law Library. These materials feature government, policy, and legal information archived from the Web. LIA is powered by Preservica’s Cloud Edition Essentials for Consortia.

We are actively seeking additional partners for this exciting and innovative project!
